The SAT / PSAT Review is the leading test prep provider in the Columbus, Ohio region.
We offer classes and tutoring for the SAT, PSAT, and ACT.
Our SAT/PSAT prep is the best in the business.

We have spent the last 20 years analyzing standardized tests to develop our proprietary test prep materials and courses. In our courses, students will review the pertinent content and strategies needed to excel. The thousands of students we have worked with over the years have experienced much success. Additionally, our own three children used our proprietary materials to prepare for these tests with great success:

  • In 6th grade, our son took the SAT with high school students and earned a 740/800 on the SAT math using our math materials to prepare. This score gained him acceptance into the Johns Hopkins Study of Exceptional Talent (SET).

  • In 7th grade, each of our three children earned above a 30 on the ACT's English and math sections using our prep materials. These scores qualified them for national honors in the Duke (TIP), Northwestern (NUMATS/CTD), and Johns Hopkins (CTY) middle school talent searches.

  • In high school, each scored in the 99th percentile on the PSAT, earning them National Merit Finalist awards. Each also went on to earn 34 and 35 composites on the ACT with two earning 36 superscores.

We can assure you that the SAT, PSAT, and ACT are not intelligence tests. Success on these tests comes down to mastering material. With the right preparation, most students can be successful. They just need to know what to study, which we can tell them, and put in the time and effort required to master this material. Although we cannot guarantee student success, we are confident that we have a solid understanding of what they need to know and how to teach this content and test strategy to students.

Differences in PSAT, SAT, and ACT tests.

We began helping students prepare for standardized testing over 20 years ago focusing specifically on the ACT when the ACT and SAT were dramatically different tests; however, these tests have changed over time. We now strongly recommend that every student takes the PSAT, SAT, and ACT as the content on these tests are now very similar (with some important differences that we discuss in our courses). When students prep for one test, they are essentially prepping for all. Since the format of PSAT/SAT and ACT differs as does some of the content, we recommend that every student takes the SAT and ACT to determine which better suits their strengths.

Changes in PSAT/SAT.

The SAT and PSAT changed in 2023. Our materials have been specifically designed for these new adaptive, digital, shorter PSAT and SAT tests. These new tests have different formats and some different content compared to older tests. Thus, studying older prep materials is not sufficient for these new tests.

Course Content.

  • SAT course: Our SAT course and materials cover the two sections on the SAT - reading/writing and math. The length of our course varies depending on the school offering; however, each student will receive a 115 page book with drills and explanations as well as memorization sheets that cover all of the commonly tested SAT content. Thus, students can cover whatever is not covered in class on their own. We have designed a worksheet system that will allow students to diagnose their weaknesses and work associated drills to improve them. We have extensive drills so that they can master the material. We also show them how to access the new adaptive digital platform to practice with real SAT tests.

  • PSAT course: The PSAT is a preliminary SAT. The topics covered on this test are essentially the same as the SAT (with some exceptions that we note in our courses/materials). However, the SAT has more challenging questions than the PSAT. Scoring well on the PSAT can qualify students for the prestigious National Merit award, which helps secure college acceptance as well as merit based scholarship money.

Credible Instructor.

Unlike some of our competitors, we do not outsource our teaching. We maintain quality control by having every one of our courses and tutoring sessions taught by Dr. Lynn Dailey. Dr. Dailey is a tenured full professor at Capital University; Capital awarded her with the Moor Endowed Chair in Business and Economics for excellence in teaching and scholarship. She developed all our materials and courses and excels on the tests. She has prepped thousands of students over the last 20 years and understands common mistakes they make on these tests. She can explain the content they need to know and the tricks/traps designed by test makers to avoid as well as strategies that will allow them to optimize their time.
